What I learned from the research is that there are more questions than answers & that some of Utah’s largest school districts could potentially better serve students & taxpayers by downsizing.

Granite SD approved next year’s budget. If you live in GSD, read the budget (as they don’t think you will)…well not all of it 😅 Check out the expenditures at p22+. See the property tax increase due to unfunded #utleg mandates & earmarked money sent to private schools instead.

This is a false narrative, I’m successful today because of DoE. They ensured I had quality education regardless my zip, supported my school meals (the state refuses to take on), & supported my college education. The state would have fallen short.

GOOD BILL: HB132 is a responsible bill. It aims to make it a misdemeanor for an actor in which a minor gain access to loaded gun that is not secured. This does not restrict 2nd amendment rights. It places gun safety/handling responsibility on the owner, instead of solely on the child.

HB192 balances the type of expenses allowed under the private school voucher program. Like public school expenditures there should be limits, especially if programs are available through our public schools. We should be diligent in preventing fraud & waste of taxpayer dollars.

SB37 moves onto the House. This bill is quietly disappointing because its allocates funding from our local communities to the state & further erodes the power of our local control. This bill serves no meaningful purpose beyond a power play. Ask your rep to vote no when it's their turn.
