We see several dimensions of the knowledge politics of violence at play here. For one, the public display of killing journalists, as @argohdes.bsky.social has mentioned, for everyone to see. At the same time, on the ground reporting on atrocities is made virtually impossible 1/

I have studied the targeting of journalists for many years, but the scale and public display of these killings is truly shocking: “Israel admits deliberate attack on the journalist, known for frontline coverage, in a strike on a tent outside al-Shifa hospital“

So pleased to see this letter from MPs in support of students in Gaza with offers at UK universities. It's been signed by over 100 MPs and is a real cross-party effort. I hope now that Starmer will respond to our requests.

Students who win the chance to attend our world class universities need that future protected whereever they come from - proud to stand with my colleagues lead by Abtisam Mohamed in speaking up for how we can make that happen even amid the horrors of what is happening in Gaza.

The genocidal arm of the professional managerial class.

“Since the GHF began operating at the end of May, more than 500 Palestinians have been killed and thousands wounded by Israeli forces in the areas near its four distribution points.”

I wrote a really short piece for Hypatia about being an abolitionist and a survivor and why philosophers are such jerks (Literally I started writing this after giving a talk about the book I wrote with Barrett Emerick since Q&A made me feel like utter shit) doi.org/10.1017/hyp....

Disabled people have been pleading with folks to show solidarity for years.

We saw the rising tide of eugenics the moment everyone declared Covid over & decided to leave us by the wayside.

Pandemics give rise to fascism. What we’re seeing is the result of allowing disabled folks to be left behind

"Asked how the UN arrived at this figure, he responded: “We have strong teams on the ground - and of course many of them have been killed… we he still have lots of people on the ground - they’re at the medical centres, they’re at the schools...trying to assess needs.”

This project was some time in the making, but a wonderful experience working with @apc.org, @UNIDIR.org, and OAS CICTE. Thanks so much to the team and to all the experts and practitioners who generously gave their time to contribute to the research!
