As I show in Holding It Together, moms often believe the supermom myth because kids do face threats (just not the ones RFK wants them to focus on), and because it falls to moms to keep kids safe (even though others--including the state--could too).

RFK is capitalizing on what I've called the myth of the supermom--the idea that kids are under threat, and that only their mothers can keep them safe from harm.

It's the same myth he and his cronies are using to fuel the "parents' rights" movement and the panic over CRT and trans kids in sports.

I moved to SoCal from the Netherlands. Highly recommend to keep some sunscreen in your bag and to purchase/bring a big dumb straw hat. Also eat some elotes and citrus fruit but that‘s orthogonal.
