Been playing games with my wife for years now and I still have to remind her about what the L3 and R3 are. I take that to believe it's just something your casual gamer is always going to struggle with and find frustrating.

I liked Odyssey quite a bit, but I felt burnt out by the massive open world and it's gameplay by the end. I dropped Valhalla about halfway through and I'm mostly of the opinion the series was better before it's shift. But I do still think Origins and Odyssey are great.

Wait shit I'm dumb, "Origins" is when the series shifted into action games lol. Either way both are great.

Is this your first? Odyssey marks the shift of the series from stealth games into 3rd Person action games. It's absolutely great and was a breath of fresh air for me when the series felt stale. But I still pick the older "AC4 Black Flag" as the best in the series.

Like I cannot bring myself to care about two random people having an affair. I also cannot bring myself to care too much about people being assholes towards those two beyond just saying "People shouldn't be assholes". But that serves no purpose and only really makes me a potential target

Whenever I find myself indignant at some behavior of people I see online I have to remind myself that the online world is essentially not real. That nothing I can say here will change anything except potentially making my life worse however minor. And that I should spend my time more usefully

Oh damn I wouldn't say that, I liked it well enough. I'd agree the characters were all pretty flat, but the gameplay kept me engaged enough

I was so excited to see Unicorn Overlord finally recreate the unique gameplay style of OB64, but admittedly the more anime art style just didn't do it for me like Ogre Battle. I've never seen another game do it's same blend of art styles and they all work so perfectly together

God I cannot speak enough about how much I love this game's look. The cartoonish sprites look fantastic. The backgrounds are so beautiful and detailed. And I love the more realistic portraits. As far as art direction goes it's easily one of all time favorites.

I enjoyed the last BO but that UI man, shit was a god damn labyrinth. Also I feel like a lot of game's settings menus, CoD especially, have become so huge I appreciated that CoD at least had a search function. It's just wild to me that one is necessary

This is one of those industry stories that I'm becoming sorta fixated on. CoD just seems "too big to fail". I imagine they'll have to pivot dramatically if they hope to keep making the kinds of numbers that return a profit, but that's entirely a gut reaction
