I kind of want to see the choice of words these authors used when composing, so I am hoping at least I can detect some of their lingo contemporary to the time it was written. That said there's certain uncanny valley when entering the XVII Century as it becomes a bit too advanced for me in archaics.

Contextually, I am picky about the language I pick books. I look for American, English, and international literature in English both because for original language and lingua franca reasons.
The exception for me is Spanish as I can actually understand that.

In one hand I have been thinking about locating a modern English compilation of Shakespeare's opera omnia in novel format rather than in play format (I already have one like that).
