i'm enjoying vicariously sharing with you the experience of moving out to a place with actual nature. my wife and i moved up to the shore of lake superior early in summer and scarcely a day goes by we don't see some critters doing something silly in the yard.

our WFH person got yelled at by her today for not processing any files between 7:30 and 8:00 am, the very start of their shift. we have fuckin morning housekeeping tasks just like any other stupid desk job! productivity doesn't always mean visible metrics! fuck

our team recently lost 3 people to getting promoted and 1 to military leave and another to medical leave, and right now it feels like our boss is hunting for reasons to not fill those empty positions. i don't fuckin like it. she is in absurd micromanagement mode constantly asking us what we're doing
