Absolutely. At the time I knew enough to also be annoyed about there being no possible reasonable route of injection they could be using, but I suspect if I went back and rewatched it now I would also be annoyed at the injection volume shown. My vague memory has them using an improbably huge syringe

I work with lab mice and I have been ranting about the handling in the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movie where they inject a mouse with the lizard serum since it came out. I realize that no audience wants to see a properly restrained mouse, but I simply will not stop complaining.

Hey, you doubled the yield of my first container tomato plant! That’s something lol

Lemonboy is an incredible name for sure! If you try again, you might want an indeterminate one. With the indeterminate varieties, they ripen a few at a time (as opposed to determinate where they all ripen at once) and so if you mess up the watering/fertilizer you have more time to fix it.

Container tomatoes are tricky! It takes some experimenting with different types/fertilizers/watering. At least they don’t look like they have blossom end rot!

This is so sweet! Euge’s music was my absolute favorite in my early 20s, and was a rock I leaned on hard during those years. I put one of his songs on the first mixtape I made for my spouse (of eight years since January), so this is a delight to see. Happy anniversary to y’all, and many more!

In my defense, dream YOU tried to give me the yeast infection from hell last night. Unfortunately there is probably a Dr Pepper scented bath bomb out there but I’m gonna pass on that one.

My grandfather, who, God bless him but he thought livestock would be easier than hoeing cotton, let us around his cows as toddlers, though with a very firm talk about how cows were NOT going to interpret us as humans when we were roughly coyote-height.

Oh it’s definitely a vice of mine, but it’s so nice to write on nice paper and tbh you need half decent paper before you can really appreciate a fountain pen.

Tomoe River paper is life changing, more important than pens (almost) is a good paper.

I read this story in Nora Titone’s book My Thoughts Be Bloody. I left out the part where JBB preached that Jesus was crucified because of the miracle of the loaves and fishes. Because eating animals was evil.

The father of John Wilkes Booth, Junius Brutus Booth, was the most famous Shakespearean actor of his day. He was also a huge animal rights believer before that was really a thing. Once he held a funeral where he buried a coffin full of 600-700 passenger pigeon carcasses as a protest.

And stationery! I will talk your ear off about the weights and nib sizes of various pens if given half a chance. I also really love textile history! I’ve been reading a book about prehistoric textiles, mostly in Europe. I keep infodumping about it to my spouse, showing them pictures of loom weights.

Many fiber arts (primarily spinning, weaving and knitting, soon to learn dyeing). Gardening (home-grown tomatoes!) Reading, currently folk/heroic epics, Heian literature and Seanan McGuire. Also pottery, exclusively wheel thrown. And Anime too (recommended: Undead Murder Farce)
