Some of best work I’ve ever had the pleasure to do (and certainly the coolest award I ever received!) was working with the CDC to identify the novel multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children during the height of the pandemic. Sad to see the CDC gutted today. We will be sicker and worse off.

Large, randomized trials are the bedrock of evidence-based medicine, but the resources required to complete such trials greatly limit the number of important clinical questions that can be addressed within a reasonable period of time
