Instead of spending money making Reddin's life easier, they should be employing people with the skills who know how to growth income. You have to make money to spend it and here's where the biggest problem lies. The WRU has far too many bureaucrats and not enough business people.

A certain loose head aside, Harlequins' team announcement this weekend looks more like a line up of management consultants than rugby players.

Still, it pays to prepare for the future.

I'm one of the first in line to criticise the blazers, but this is outstanding. George Miller ... at your heart out!

Rugby has a long tradition in Japan ... and this lot looks like they'd give Wales a run for their money.

Fantastically top heavy for an organisation with such a small turnover

Given the marvellous job the directors are doing, who could begrudge them a 35% increase in benefits in one year!

Difficult to conceive of a clearer red card than this. Shoulder to the head ... red card.

For anyone with a spouse who is not a US citizen, the US is a deeply dysfunctional society at war with itself.

Calling Carter Gordon a "rugby league convert" is a bit of a stretch. He didn't play league as a kid & played only one NRL game before getting injured. The major issue is RAs refusal to come to terms with how many Aussies play abroad. 33 are contracted to T14 clubs (24 Kiwis; 15 Boks; 24 Fijians)

There was a big drive to protect the kicker* in the NRL last season. Mostly because it is so easy to seriously injure someone so defenceless. Curry is clumsy here, but should know better.

* less so for other parts of the game.

This R360's a bit of a joke, isn't it? So many meaningless games, players jetting all over the place, no links with the roots of the game and all to make a few bucks.

(I won't disagree with about he back row, but ... ) It's still a young starting XV. Only four over 30, and two of those are only barely over 30. He's got six players there under 25.

Here's the starting XV for that SA team that easily defeated France ...

🇯🇵 x 7
🇿🇦 x 6
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 x 1
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 x 1
Only four players under 30, only one under 25

Tomkins has been in good form this season (red), but then so has Thomas. Depends on the game plan, I suppose.

🇯🇵 x 1 (Japan League One)
🇫🇷 x 8 (Top 14)
🇫🇷 x 1 (Pro D2)
