On a holiday note, my mom used to say she couldn’t wait for her shitty brother-in-law to die so she’d get her sister back. He died a few years back, my mom and my aunt are super close again. Sometimes, you just gotta wait for someone to get a divorce or their spouse to die. That’s just how it is.

I’ve noticed a lot of the discourse about low/no contact familial relationship lately. Boomers, there are two ways to avoid this fate: you were and are a good parent or plan to give your children money now or an inheritance. So, if you suspect you’re a shitty parent, get your checkbook out now.

I take my hair down at night if you didn’t know. I put in old AirPods, too, to listen to my favorite albums. I still sleep on cute flannel sheets in winter just like when my memory begins. Safe as houses.
