A friend of mine is being buried today. I will be attending his wake later.
Brain cancer took him, leaving his young daughter orphaned after his wife passed of breast cancer several years ago.
F#$k Cancer is all I have to say.
At that age where its less christenings & weddings, & more funerals.

For weeks, if not months, I've been mentally and physically exhausted.
I've no fuel left in the tank, I'm running on fumes, and nothing I do seams to put fuel back in the tank.
I can't seam to get a break either.
I have time off booked, I just hope that works, because otherwise, I'm out of ideas.

Last game of the year, players got them selves in a sticky heavily out numbered situation, but sneakily found a way arround without fighting at all!

Todays #D&D session went well, towards the end the gears side stepped just about everything to get what they wanted.
They felt a bit bad that none of the models or terrain were needed, but to me, thats all good!

I cant stress this enough, No RPG is better then Bad RPG.
I struggle with DM burn out, but having curated my group of players, I love them to bits, and they drag me forwards always!
If you dred your next session, work out why!

All jokes aside, you don't have to stay in a toxic environment. It's literally a game, so if it's not fun: Don't do it.

Sunday I spent a major chunk of the day cooking, putting meals in the freezer, so when I dont have the energy to cook, we can grab something easy, but also something where I know what went into them.
