I've been dealing with a flare up of my chronic illness since the beginning of September. I spent 16 days in the hospital and am still recovering, waiting for the go ahead for a surgery that will improve things. In the meantime, my creative well has dried up. I can't wait to get back to writing 😭

Hi #kidlitchat I'm the author of The Skeleton Flute and I have no idea how this works but it always looks like fun. So 👋 I'm a mom of one newly minted teenager, 3 cats, a dog, and a ball python. I'm obsessed with goats and cows and dream of owning a mini highland cow someday!

It’s really pretty cool that one thing you can do to support people you like is ask your local library to get their book because it doesn’t cost you anything, it helps them, and the librarian gets to know someone actually wants to read a book and not just use the computer for Roblox

I queried my first novel when I was 15 years old, back in the 90s when you had to include a self-addressed stamped envelope just to receive a rejection 😂 I'm regretting not saving one of those rejections to frame next to my book announcement as a reminder that childhood dreams can come true ❤️
