None of the professional crypto traders I’ve met actually think blockchain based “currencies” are a good idea, they just see their markets as easy money because they can use abusive trading practices that would be prohibited on regulated exchanges.
TIL a crypto firm actually called themselves Tulip Trading, which is a pretty weird bit of self-awareness.
