I think the light cycles and the disc combat would be cooler. Akira is an interesting model. It has motorcycle combat and ends with a fight between the regular sized person and a huge existential horror, aided by a godlike entity who comes to change the world again.

So many Captain America gifs are appropriate. It's this and the one where the Nazi commander pulls off his mask to reveal he's actually a monsterous looking worse-than-a-Nazi commander. The other is this.

In this era, Cyclops shows up in front of cops who are freaking out at a mutant first manifesting their powers and pointing guns at them. Cyclops and his group teleport in and stand between the cops and the mutant. Just superhero stuff and getting back to the "hated and feared" bigotry allegory.

I prefer his Revolutionary look myself. It was a) Cyclops' best era as a character and 2) a neat look. Yeah the mask doesn't make a lot of sense, but I think that can be fixed by a clever costuming department using semi-rigid structures on the cowl. It just feels more cyclopic than the visor.

Here's the problem with the half-suspender. In real life, it'd slip around. In trying to adapt it in the movie, it can't be straight up and down and has to be more like a Y shape, making him look more like a Fallout Vault Dweller than an X-Man.

First and most unpopular opinion is Cyclops' most famous and iconic outfit, the Jim Lee era 90s outfit is trash. First of all, Superman is the only hero who can still wear trunks. Second, all the straps are useless (except the ones on his gloves). What are those thigh straps doing?

Got all the bits for my Sith Zweihander saber body. The aluminum needs to be plated in copper and then black nickel. The big project here is in making custom blades, the crossguard blade and a huge 4 foot blade (at least a foot longer than what you can get premade, so I have a 6' tube of plexiglass)

The saber body is done. I need to polish the brass and work out a switch plate. And then it's on to the innards. There's a missing bit of plating on the emitter, so I may try fix that or plate a new one.

This has been a lot of trial and error, but I finally got this hilt section assembled. When it sets, I'll clean up the edges, but in the meantime I've got to figure out how to mount the switch and USB port.

post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains.
Look it's all perfect albums from this band, but I feel like my cohort taps out at Flood or Apollo 18 and this and Factory Showroom are chockablock with bangers

Normally, I match my watchbands with my shirt. But when I travel, I don't want to bring all of them with me, so I choose one and stick with it. This time I decided to mix and match for a Christmas theme. Bonus, these are my highschool's colors so good for being in my childhood home for the holidays.
