I don't know a city in the US that DOES plow sidewalks. 🙃

In Philly we are told that one way bike lanes (3-5 wide) can't handle snow equipment. The only lanes that have been plowed are 2 way lanes because of the width.

I walked from 16th and market to City Hall and the bike lane, which had been plowed was unpassable. Piles of snow at every intersection and a layer of ice/slush throughout.

We do not care about pedestrians or cyclists.

Are any of the bridges across the Schuylkill passable for pedestrians/cyclists?

As a whole-hearted proponent of safer infrastructure I agree that it should have been examined.

However, doesn't much if not most of Canadian infrastructure (excluding Montreal) resemble the US, and yet they haven't seen the same rise.
