The Cubs are 10-7 right now despite playing 14(!) of those games against teams that already have winning records. Their +41 run differential is by far the largest in baseball.

This is like if the Cubs decided it was good strategy to start a position player on the mound for every game, they got hammered for a week, then they returned to the usual rotation and said, "Look at our ERA falling baby." Genius.

Intro to the Bullets today, I think, is worth sharing here, too:
"This week, the big kids had an open house at their school, and we brought along The Littlest Girl for the visit, too. She has a service dog to help her interact and stay on task, and she uses an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device to talk, because she is non-speaking. As we walked around and interacted with a number of middle schoolers, I was struck by just how unremarkable our daughter's needs and situation seemed to them. Sure, they were interested in her doggo and AAC device, but these kids just treated her like a person. It's just a very different experience from back when I was in school, and it made me feel very good. It reminded me that there is a lot of support and positivity out there in the world for her."
