The "Good Old Days" WEREN'T. Retired French teacher, and international business consultant in Quebec and France.. Fighting to keep my sanity while fighting the demise of the US Republic. In a democracy the government is not an alien entity, it is US.
Once again, MAGA is saved from their own votes.

Approximately 128 Americans die a day from gun violence and Trump yawns and falls asleep.

2 Americans are killed in Syria and he is willing to start a new war over it.

That's absurd! Nobody is welcome in America. Which is timely, since now few want to come anyway.

With SCOTUS do Federal judges still mean anything?
December 13, 2025 at 7:06 PM
It would "interfere" with his image; it would make people think he is considerate of other people's needs. (i.e. "woke")

THIS is an issue to run on.
December 12, 2025 at 6:45 PM
Well, they have been though. So, there is that.
December 11, 2025 at 3:24 PM
Well, unfortunately, SCOTUS has no problem with this.

They're not satisfied to hurt the tourism industry, they want to murder it.
December 10, 2025 at 10:02 PM
They're not dismantling the government, if they were they would have already reigned in Trump on ICE & troop deployment. They have no problem with a big government hurting people, just a problem with government helping its people.

I don't think precedent (or hell, even the actual words of the Constitution) means anything to this SCOTUS.
December 9, 2025 at 7:23 PM
What is so absurdly crazy is that even rich people breath the same air.
December 9, 2025 at 3:30 PM
Because, when Colorado tried to prevent it (per the US Constitution) SCOTUS made obvious their underlying belief that the US Constitution is but a list of suggestions.

Here's hoping another Democrat will win the primary. Don't misunderstand me, I'd vote for her but, as a Texas resident of 35 years I can say confidently that there is no way a black liberal woman will ever win a Senate seat in Texas.

PS: Cornyn, not Cruz is standing for reelection.

The first event was when the today's Democrats were the Republicans. The second event happened when the Republicans have become the old timey Democrats.

Let's make sure Europeans don't expand the breadth of the enemy to all of the American people.

And the faster he goes the less likely they are to do so.
December 8, 2025 at 8:13 PM
Yeah, it could have been that way. But we didn't know for sure, so we murdered him just in case.
December 8, 2025 at 9:43 AM
Because of SCOTUS we are likely to have an answer to the question "can a democratic country exist and function democratically when 50 of its pieces are undemocratic?"

Sad.
