Next week's Front Range rain reminds me a ton of the early May 2023 rain event, which brought a widespread 2-5" around the metro area.
This probably won't be quite that much, but a big, widespread beneficial rainfall across most of the Eastern Plains.

I think a lot about this quote from Anaïs Nin’s diary from 1939-1944:
