With all this clamour for digitisation, a real UK person at the end of a phone at midnight when you need them is very reassuring… and a little surprising, but in a good way.

But cudos to my bank. They alerted me quickly, were available late at night with a UK call centre and very efficiently and calmly resolved things. I honestly can’t fault them.

Diesel is the worst. On a cold day you can actually taste the pollution. It’s obvious the exhaust filters don’t work anywhere near well enough. Given we have petrol, I don’t see any reason not to ban new diesel cars immediately. The pollution caused is completely unnecessary.

PM2.5 is a contributory cause for lung cancer, which isn’t exclusive to the young/old. It’s a myth that pollution only kills the already vulnerable. Sadly, it kills otherwise fit and healthy people.

I love Siamese! We used to have a neighbour that had one - he would jump from the ground to hug you around the neck in one leap. So expressive - not a cat that liked to be ignored!
