I sought you out after I left twitter. I tried to find a lot of the same people I followed on different platforms, but your investment in a character that I always felt never got enough representation as well as your art gave me special interest.

I haven't been into Destiny since Forsaken. Did they ever cut down on the "every time they release a DLC, the new equipment is just better than the old stuff"?

Yeah, sorry about that.

I don't think I'm a book snob, but then I pick up a really terrible book and turn into the DNF Don and I get my boys to bury it alive in the bottom of my black tote never to be seen again instead of on my bookshelf.

Let me save you the read:
She was nearly killed for riding an e bike without a helmet.

In my opinion, every E-bike should come with a helmet, and all E-bikes should require helmets. The article piddles with it.

"With the increase in bike usage, regulatory oversight is needed" sort of stuff.

If you get me a Helldivers 2 T-shirt, a Warhammer 40k keychain or a Baldur's Gate 3 metal poster, I'd love that.

If you know me, you know I have earrings, so you can augment the list with what you know about that person, adding additional depth to it.

Anything that falls into that first zone, but outside the second is probably a good gift for me.

It leaves room to pick out something thoughtful for the person without telling them anything about what they're getting.

It also passively teaches the people around us what sort of things we like.

THIS

SO MUCH THIS

When I wrote Ward The Wanderer and The Paladin Lestelle, the relationship between Ward and Lestelle is one of mutual suffering at the hands of society's rich and powerful. Despite that, they actually love each other, and move heaven and earth to show it.

I think it might have something to do with the cognitive decline associated with completely uncontrolled COVID infections in 2020 and 2021. Just a guess though.

That's a California specific thing? I thought they trained them on pop tarts so the ants just infiltrate any home with poptart like food in it.

Very true. Gothic is a vibe that is difficult to produce without going all in. It can't just be themes, it's gotta be laser focused with imagery, architecture, tone, and locations.

I like unique calendars because it grounds the story in this other world. However, the baggage is that you need context for dates.

"1st of Eventide" means nothing.

"It was midsummer on the 1st of Eventide when-" sounds a lot better anyway.

I'd keep working my full-time job and pay an Editor to edit my books. Then, I'd publish a few of them. Then, assuming I had any success on that front, I'd start a company that develops tabletop games, because a lot of people will suddenly find more time to do work/life balance.
