Last week (you know - the week before Thanksgiving) my wife was fired from her job. It sucks, but that's life. Meanwhile, imma keep doing what I do - working as a cashier and making art. Just . . . maybe a bit more of both. #art

2 pies done, 2 more in the oven. Pies are *the* thing in my family. Typically, we fill an entire dining table - with both leaves in place - with pies. But... in this "hot" economy, we all cut our lists, and I couldn't bring myself to buy pecans, so we'll probably fill only half the table.

Saw someone yelling at Jeffries that Dems should put a resolution on the floor to force the swearing in of Adralita Grijalva.

I came across this today in one of my documentaries (don't ask). These are the words of a man who lived more than 4000 years ago. He was a scribe, a tomb artist, and an architect. And I am utterly taken by this, that he had inscribed in his own tomb:

I got myself some "rainforest ivory" (tagua nut) to make myself some new gauges - purpleheart wood inlaid with ivory - and decided to try making earrings for a coworker's birthday (she loves cats). I'm pleased with how both turned out - and she loves her new earrings.
