A bit of over two months in a product focused software startup has done wonders to revitalize my interest in working in tech.

I’m considering picking up writing about engineering but what sort of topics are people reading outside the LLM hype?

I forgot to post about this but I scratched together some in-browser character sheets for #dungeonworld.

These work pretty decently for a low effort one-off sessions.

The #atproto #developers feed is suddenly full of videos of people applying for @skylight.social beta. 😅 I don’t hate it, but I’m wondering if there are more developer related feeds I should subscribe to?

I think the time is ripe for a social network where users have to authenticate to prove they’re human. A system based on identity brings accountability and makes it harder for hostile actors to influence. The EU seems like the best location to kick off something like this but can we deliver?

One thing I’d like to see one day is a viable competitor to event organization for Facebook (back in the day). Getting people together for events leaves my whatsapp snd telegram riddled with small groups and Fb used to work well for this.

On #atproto would need for private audiences.

What kind of apps currently exist on atproto? Is there a curatef list or a showroom somewhere? What are you building? #atdev #atproto

#atproto #developers question: If I develop an application based on the protocol, is there a way for me to prevent the data from being discoverable or is everything fundamentally discoverable by anyone?

I’m wondering the plausibility of only publishing content to a users followers/following.

I’m experimenting with using #atproto as the backend for my technology blog at dvergmal.dev is it a realistic dream to also do long form markdown texts on atproto? I guess I’d need to setup a PDS and some custom schema + repository for this as well as a database or does the pds also provide the db?

Now that #ReactRouter v7 is out, is it time for me to port my #remix v1 apps to v2? 🤔

Selecting a stack for a project can be tricky. There's often no single solution to solving any problem. Often, boring technology is better than exciting in the long run. What I think matters most is confidence in the selected tools, from both the perspective of the development team and the client.
