How do we get Apple to back away from Liquid Glass? I’ve given it some time and I still strongly dislike it.

It still feels like I'm living in a sci-fi novel whenever I use Cursor. GenAI overall is pretty mind-blowing in its capabilities, but seeing a tool just whip through software development tasks that would have taken me hours/days in minutes is pretty crazy.

I wonder if Andy Goldsworthy is into latte art?

Cursor is killing it, imho. Their latest release uses MermaidJS in Planning mode, which I *love*, and their Debug Agent mode is so clever!

It's starting to feeling like, as a developer, I'm becoming a white-box QE for Cursor. 😬

Christmas Trees? Cool. Christmas lights? Festive. I like that. Blasting Christmas music in the cafeteria every day? A criminal offense.

So we can afford a new ballroom at the White House but can't afford healthcare or education for our children. Got it.

As you may have noticed, white supremacists want to stop the influx of hardworking young people (aka immigration) while somehow forcing white women to have lots more babies to compensate, but they refuse to make having kids more affordable and less arduous an experience.

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
Let’s be clear about what happened to Jimmy Kimmel
Trump’s most brazen attack on free speech yet.

This is the playbook, folks.

If you're not paying attention now and doing something about it, then you're going to have to sit down the rest of your life because democracy is being taken away.

Do not be quiet in this moment.

According to federal data, 13 of the top 20 cities in homicide rates have Republican governors. None of those cities are Chicago.

8 of the top 10 states in homicide rates are led by Republicans. None of those states are Illinois.

And yet Trump is sending troops here.

So Trump is making an online portal where ppl with vigilante & vigilante-adjacent expertise sign up & get deputized as regime-approved brownshirts. Instead of venting on 4chan or Stormfront they can now sign up & be brutalizing regime enemies w/promise of legal immunity. Am I missing something?

This is Washington at its worst.

We need to ban Congressional stock trading.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Call your Republican representative today, or ask friends and family to call theirs.

Yup.

I said what I said. Most people in the US don't even know what their own military looks like. 🤷🏿‍♂️

The ridiculousness of trying to use Marines for ICE raids in California, when so many Marines are Hispanic people from California that signed their very lives on the line for their family's papers.
“family members identified the victim as Narciso Barranco, a father to three sons who are all U.S. Marines”

It’s becoming increasingly unclear who exactly is grabbing people, including citizens:

ICE? Bounty hunters acting for ICE? Straight-up vigilante militias?

All of the above are illegal. Some violates California law.

There needs to be EXTREMELY harsh accountability for this Nazi-level thuggery.

This is the real reason they're masked and don't provide ID. It's not to prevent blowback. They don't care about blowback. They went to proud boys rallies and "mass deportation now" rallies without masks.

It's that they're contracting out this work to people with no legal authority to make arrests.
