This looks like a “Trametes Versicolor”. You can look it up to verify as I can’t tell for sure due to photo quality. If so, it has been extensively studied and shown to have anti-cancer properties.

Rufous are fairly rare on the west coast. We have migrating Allen's, while most Anna's seem to stick around all year. It's always great to be in the southwest!
