I love noticing actors in small roles across multiple movies and shows.

For instance, I just rewatched all of Silicon Valley and am now watching Mad Men for the first time, and Allan Miller shows up for a single episode in both.

So what I’m hearing is I’m special.

Saw someone talking about their favorite movies of the year, and it made me think about what I even *saw* that came out in 2025 and…

It wasn’t a lot.

Hell yeah, when I was doing GotY podcast/write-up stuff, making the superlatives was always the best part.

When you don't do a video game podcast anymore, you gotta think real hard about what you played this year, and what stuff from *that* was *new* in 2025.

I like that Backloggd's implementation for personal GOTY lists. This is where my head's at right now for it.

GTA 4 runs surprisingly well on a Steam Deck, in case you were wondering.

I heard Keighley said “Wuthering Waves” weird last night, which, if nothing else, vindicates me keeping this square on gameawardsbingo.com

Haha, make a game about languages, they said. You for sure won't become an amateur linguist by the end of it, they said. And you *definitely* won't be plumbing the depths of linguistics Wikipedia to make sure you properly understand something you learned in grade school, they said.

Love that, on Google, the Game Awards site's highest surfaced navigation links include Future Class — an initiative they've shuttered — and the site's 404 page. This is a metaphor for... something.

There's a lot of silly, unexpected things that make you go, "oh wow, our game is like a real *thing*." Today that was updating Project Lexa's Steam capsules with @thenazzaro.bsky.social's awesome art and seeing it reflected in my Steam library.

Oh it's #PitchYaGame time?

I'm working with some awesome folks on Project Lexa — a game all about translating an alien language and using what you learn to solve puzzles, explore an alien planet, and uncover secrets!

While at EGX / MCM, I randomly discovered that Alex Norris (of Webcomic Name fame) was there, and you could commission them for your own "oh no" comic, so obviously I asked them to make one about the plight of surviving as an indie dev. I think they nailed it. 🥲
