The minimum wage went up in 19 states this month — but the federal minimum wage has been stuck at a paltry $7.25 an hour since 2009.

Guess how much the wage would be today if it kept up with worker productivity over the years?

For those who have forgotten the past 40 years:

Tax cuts for the rich
...don’t trickle down

Boosting military spending
...doesn’t bring peace

Slashing regulations
...doesn’t create jobs

Folks, we’ve seen this all before.

20 State AGs have sued Russell Vought for trying to starve the CFPB of funding.

Since 2011, the CFPB has returned over $20B to consumers.

Tyson is closing a Nebraska plant that employs 3,200 workers in order to “right-size” its business.

The meatpacking giant paid its CEO $22.7M last year, 525x its median employee's pay.

It also spent $196M in stock buybacks to reward shareholders.

Textbook corporate greed.

Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

It takes 50 votes to abolish the filibuster.

If Republicans really wanted to reopen the government, they could abolish that.

They don’t because the filibuster allows both parties to get nothing done and blame the other side.

I stand with @sanders.senate.gov. This is not about politics, but about real people. It's not about securing a vote for show, but preventing premium hikes for Americans who are scared of what that will mean for them.

It's time for leaders who put problem-solving ahead of politics, and service ahead of self-interest.

We’re focused on lowering costs, cleaning up corruption, and fighting for our shared humanity. Not more division, distractions, or catering to special interests.

Socialism should be taught in schools across the globe. Once the actual benefits of socialism are understood, pretty much everyone agrees with them. It's about ensuring everyone is looked after, nothing more. The rich can still be rich, it's just the people who made them rich can be better off.

With Zohran Mamdani's inspiring victory, Republicans are yet again fearmongering about "socialism."

But conservatives always yell “socialism” at every initiative designed to help people.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.
