Saw Cabaret at the Guthrie last night. What an amazingly powerful show. Made even more so by the parallels between the rounding up of the Jews by the Nazis and the rounding up of "illegal immigrants" by ICE.

In any world where we *aren't* sliding into fascism, there would be universal outrage and, intentional or not, the Muskrat would be forced to apologize for the salute and promise not to do it again. The fact that people are defending it speaks volumes.
