I typically don’t do the reskeets because I rarely have anything interesting to add, but I am PARTICULAR proud of my first vinyl album that I bought.

(Also proud of my first cassette, though I could have picked better for my first CD.)

You need a batch “hopper-style” cherry pitter. Leifheit makes one. It’s not cheap. But it makes putting cherries SUPER fast and easy.

Beautiful!

Flower #4 in your group is a a South African protea flower and they grow them in southern California! I went to a protea farm a couple of months ago during a press trip. It was gorgeous.

OMG. The back is 🔥🔥🔥!

It does remind me of an installation of the spoon wedding dress that Fishs Eddy had in NY for awhile in their window.

You have inspired me to pull out my long pepper, cubeb, and grains of paradise! I am going to use them!

I think I have more than this. But this is what I could easily find in my cupboard.

I basically only use the use the Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt in the large red box for most cooking and baking. I really need to use up some of the others…

What is this #PortfolioDay hashtag? It's giving me PTSD from my art school days.

But because I am very susceptible to peer pressure, here's some more pottery and ceramics so I can participate.

1. wheel thrown & carved blate (bowl plate)
2. slab plate
3. large wheel thrown bowl
4. slab cheeseboard

You should also add in @boygirlparty.bsky.social's companion book Little Muir's Song! They're a great pair!

OMG. It's LEGIT.

I didn't make it this year. But I did make a large cherry apricot slab pie with a crumb topping for a large dinner party I went to before my husband took off for the AIDS lifecycle. His riding team always does a pre-ride dinner.

They all seemed to love the pie!

I don’t really have one! I bake specific to the people I’m entertaining, to the amount of folks there, and/or the produce that is in season (or, the holiday).

But if I had a choice, I’d make a seasonal fruit slab pies. They’re a higher crust to filling ratio and they feed a crowd.

Because of a work project, I had to buy a "marbled" fabric photo background. So I made my husband take an Olan Mill studio style photo with me.

Except my husband was too lazy to change out of his Star Wars Christmas pajamas. So this is what I now have.

I'm think of framing it.

Thanks all who welcomed me, commented, liked, & reposted my ceramics!

@netherye.bsky.social asked if I did wheel thrown or hand-built ceramic work. I mostly do wheel thrown. But every now and then I hand build.

Here are a few hand built ceramic pieces!

#art #craft 🧶 (are hashtags a thing here?)

My friend @boygirlparty.bsky.social told me I should post my ceramics here on BlueSky.

Even though I’m pretty sure no one wants to see them.

But here are some ceramics I made. Always happy to talk pottery with folks if there are any potters here on BlueSky.
