It’s basically the same. The algo is aggressive, so I really only see stuff in my bubble.

For instance, I keep on hearing about a growing number of conservative/MAGA folks. But since I actively block, I almost never see them.

That said, ads are coming soon. So I can see the vibe shifting…

I’m not sure about the Ukraine war factor (don’t we get most of sugar from Mexico and Central/South America? I don’t know. I’m not sure).

That said, the fact that blackstrap is available makes me think it is just a restocking issue, as folks aren’t buying blackstrap as much as the other two?

Ahh…interesting. It’s a byproduct of making granular sugar right? Or maybe I have that wrong.

I didn’t make anything this season that needed molasses so I didn’t notice the level of stock. I also had a large stock of sugar pre-holiday season, so I didn’t notice if there was a shortage of it.

Huh! Interesting. I also wonder if the molasses is sold out because of the holidays and stores are slow to restock because less demand right now.

No. Not yet. DMs are relatively new here on Bluesky. They were announced in May.

Group DM is coming. But it’s not here yet.

(Also, DMs are not encrypted and can be read by moderators. Just FYI.)

That’s a great article! I loved that show and I was sad that the proposed Sue Sue in the City spinoff didn’t go forward.

She was the standout character for me. Eden Sher is a gem and I wish she was working more nowadays.

I love working with laminated dough! When done properly it feels like velvet under my fingers. Those look great! Very impressed for a first time.

Bonus fun fact: Linseed oil is the same as flaxseed oil. The only difference is the flaxseed oil is graded for human consumption, while linseed oil isn’t.

For the same reason linseed oil is great for paint, flaxseed oil is ideal for seasoning cast iron skillets and cookware!

Don’t forget patience. Nothing teaches you patience like pottery. Anytime you try to hurry the process…it’s not gonna end well.

Pottery is TOTALLY. ADDICTIVE. !!!

Thank you!!!

Legit you are the only person who has ever liked or commented about that mug. No one else has ever said ANYTHING when I post about it. Ha!

Hahaha! You’re sweet. You should hear my singing voice. I subscribe to the “if you can’t sing on key, sing LOUDER” school of singing.

Also, eat ALL. THE. BBQ. in Texas! Austin in particular has Franklin’s but the line is almost always insane. I’m sure there are local Austin folks who can recommend equally good places without the crazy wait.

So it’s a LONG drive out to Marfa from San Antonio, but if you can get over to Marfa Tx, it’s an artist town, and they have some excellent artwork and installations, including Prada, Marfa a well known Prada store art installation. Marfa is also close to Big Bend National Park.
