though i do think if you're good at marketing and you can get enough eyes on your project before release it probably doesn't matter too much how long your project is or how much branching it has

It sounds like you want to charge people for a marketing service which would involve making a handful of social media posts for devs, but if this isn't what you're suggesting then I apologise for misunderstanding.

I'm saying I don't think developers would be interested in paying for an expensive marketing service from a person who doesn't have a lot of reach on social media. This might sound harsh but I think it would be a hard sell.
