Page seven: I want my decorations that calm me, little by little•Timely put them in place and leave them there•For as long as I see fit, have them•Carry me all the way to Candlemas•The gift of silent nighst•Gold, frankincense and myrrh•Always my candles, one scented too•Or an oil burner perhaps. It reads as follows: From Advent season's first day onwards•Each and every year•Trust that I'll be on a tight, tied, tide schedule•With a couple of loose ends•(That, at the moment, I'm still learning to be okay with.•It hasn't been all that easy thus far. Page two: The threadbare days, hours•When they come around and stifle me•I become despondent, angry and depressed•I think the truth is I'm being so held back by the dimwits that be•Coarseness undermining my cardinal sensibilities•And feeling disempowered is a state•I'm all too used to•While, at the same time•t's never felt in any way natural to me. Page three: Because it isn't•I'm a mouse-holed powerhouse•Running on tiny pleasures•So for the past couple of years I've been trying•To take back some control•By resisting the jostle, the hustle and the bustle•The "buy sixteen, get one free".
