Here’s hoping, but looking at Europe Elects I might be more pessimistic and say that it’s maybe just a bump. Probably too early to tell either way though.

Perhaps his strength of feeling about seagulls will see him through! More seriously though it’s interesting to compare the prevalence of independents under preferential voting in Ireland and Australia. If we adopted either of those systems I suspect we may see more here, especially in rural areas.

I do something along these lines with combinations of fountain pens and inks in the back of new notebooks… Nice to know that’s not completely odd!
