Character who asked is missing even if I do have the card

It was fine yesterday, but in the most recent update, in ultimate detective if someone asks for a card I don't have, I don't get to see what they asked. It just says "you don't have that card, press continue" and then this screen. Is that supposed to happen? I'm on PS4.
