DK Bananza is the most wonderfully depressing game. It’s clearly the work of lifelong game developers mentoring novices and it’s the kind of game we’d have a lot more of if game publishers actually let game development be a stable, life-long career for people.

I also was so ready for something that wasn’t just more Mario Kart 8 especially since it takes so much after 7 and Wii, it’s nice to have an experimental title again.

Great video! I’m more invested in mastery and the series as a whole, but I fully agree with loving the hell out of the vibes in this game and enjoying the spectacle and chaos. I would grind out versus races online in 8, but some nights just wish for something else to do besides race.

It’s superfluous, more of a side thing than the big focus of the game. I like to chill in it, and my nephew absolutely loves driving around it, but it’s not really a big open adventure mode and is better with other people.
