Hey, I'm down for that! I would lead the choir and sing "Kumbaya"! 😆

Say what you will about Mil Mascaras, he was the man! Dude was fighting vampires, mummies, and other supernatural beings.

They incorporated his wrestling into those cheesy horror flicks...and I loved them!

It actually did and many non-violent protests thereafter. We really need something powerful as the Silent March of 1917 today.

Even the Black NYC crowd participated. They did not cheer at all. No noise whatsover.

This is how the NYTimes covered it:

Look at the last line.👇🏾

This wasn't just a walk; it was the birth of modern civil rights activism. It shifted the NAACP from a legal-only group to a mass-movement powerhouse. It paved the way for the 1963 March on Washington and the protests we have today.

We can learn from this.

message rather than their "noise." It successfully brought the horrors of lynching and racial violence into the white mainstream consciousness. It goes to show the old saying by French general Charles de Gaulleis true:

"Silence is the ultimate weapon of power." (cont)

The power of silence spoke volumes! By marching without a word, the protesters stripped away any excuse for police intervention. They forced the White public to look at their signs—messages like "Your Hands Are Full of Blood"—and listen to the heavy silence. (cont)

"serious and dignified" demeanor at all times. Women and children dressed in all-white to represent innocence in the face of the "bloodthirsty" violence of lynching. It was a visual rebuke to the lie that Black people were the aggressors.

What a sight it was! ✊🏾 (cont)

🧵 It was the first all-Black protest in America that most people never heard of. It was the loudest protest ever—all without saying a word.🤫 Let me tell you about The Silent Parade of 1917. (cont)

Let this sink in, Blacks for Trump; Black MAGA or whatever you call yourselves:

Your guy DID NOT acknowledge #BlackHistoryMonth at all yesterday.

Still believe he's not racist?

Fat meat is always greasy, y'all.🐷

Hehehe...oh he's a brotha, Dawn.🤣 His mom was a Scots-Irish woman; which explains his fair complexion.

If you’ve never heard of Provident Hospital, that’s not an accident. Black medical history has been systematically erased.
But we’re bringing it back into the light — one thread at a time.

Honor the legacy & share.🏥

it was a political statement.
It proved that Black excellence wasn’t the exception; it was the rule, when given resources, autonomy, and space to thrive. The hospital faced financial challenges over the decades — a reflection of systemic underfunding, not lack of impact. (cont)

The catalyst was a young Black woman named Emma Reynolds, denied admission to every nursing school in Chicago because of her race.
Her brother sought help from Dr. Daniel ("Dr. Dan") Hale Williams (below) — and Williams realized the problem was bigger than one rejection. (cont)

🧵 Let us begin #BlackHistoryMonth by acknowledging a medical milestone. What happened when Black physicians and nurses were excluded from all-White hospitals?

They built their own.

What you just posted is the reason I began labeling my content as such. It was white supremacy that put America "to sleep" with whitewashed history and continue to do so.

It was time to wake people up to the truth. I tell American history as it actually happened—no filter. We can't live a lie.

I posted this for the ongoing education of hidden truths. I have no problem with White people and everyone learning what the mindset of Black thinkers were back then and the impact it has today.

Without it, they would be missing an integral piece as to why Black people resist white supremacy.

Got it and no worries. There is NEVER a bastardization of "woke" on my threads, my friend.

I purposely label my content as such. 😉💙

In places like Harlem and other urban areas, you might find street vendors who sell printed copies of the book. In my travels, I've seen it. Also, bookstores and thrift shops such as Goodwill and Salvation Army may have it. This is the cover of the original book I bought at a Goodwill store.

Wow, you wouldn't believe it. I found it at a Goodwill thrift store around 1993 or 1994. I wasn't looking for the book, but I came across it while searching for books on Freemasonry—which I have found in that particular Goodwill store before.

Hi Cammie!👋🏾😊🫂💙

I believe you can; but if not, it is on sale online. The copy I had was an original that was self-published by Robert H. deCoy. I found it at a Goodwill store. The cover did not look like the one I posted.

This is the original cover from 1967:

Whether you view it as a masterpiece of liberation or a polarizing text, The N****r Bible remains a window into a time when thinkers were fighting to 'decolonize' the mind and build a world on their own terms.

This is a must read, my friends. I highly recommend it.📖

DeCoy’s main target? Language. He argued that the word "N****r" was a white invention used to dehumanize. His radical solution: reclaim the term, dissect its power, and refuse to let outside forces define the Black experience. Freedom starts with the labels we accept. (cont)
January 30, 2026 at 1:46 PM
of the time, like Malcolm X and Stokely Carmichael, who argued that the first step to freedom was changing how you thought about yourself.

During this time, many activists were changing their names (like Cassius Clay becoming Muhammad Ali) to strip away "slave names" (cont)
