My health insurance premiums will more than double in January. I pay a little less than $500/month for my current silver plan.

I just reapplied and my new premium will be $1062/month.

And don’t forget: I still have a co-pay for every visit and pay for prescriptions.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A small group of federal agents in camouflage and face masks watched from atop the immigration processing center Thursday night as a unicorn, peacock, dinosaur and raccoon danced to Cher’s “If I Could Turn Back Time.” www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
Costumed protesters in Portland defy description of the city as a 'war zone'
Dancing frogs, peacocks and unicorns outside the federal immigration building present a joyful contrast to the Trump administration's portrait of the Oregon city, they say.

Three cheers for the Constitution's right to a jury: a federal jury in Los Angeles "took just over an hour to acquit [Brayan] Ramos-Brito of a misdemeanor assault count" in an ICE-scuffle case hinging heavily on the testimony of border sector chief Gregory Bovino, now doing raids in Chicago.

Tariffs, careless economic policies, and politicizing the Fed. Trump is driving up your costs through his chaos.

You deserve a government that works for you, not against you.
Economic anxiety grows under Trump, creating a new political liability for the GOP
Democrats are eager to hammer Trump on the economy, where his polling is at its lowest point. But Republicans are confident economic sentiment is about to turn in their favor.

I went on Ezra Klein's podcast to discuss how Trump is building his own paramilitary force.

Grim as this discussion is, we recorded it *before* Trump's executive order directing Hegseth to set up rapid deployment units within the National Guard.

Trump is a bigoted fascist operating at a third-grade reading level whose policies are completely incoherent. He believes in absolutely nothing but attention, wealth and power.

the closest the NYT can get to explaining this to readers is to proclaim "this isn't your grandpa's republican party"

This is outrageous. The Supreme Court should not even consider taking this up.

We must stand up for the rights and freedoms of LGBTQ+ Americans and all Americans to love and marry whomever they choose.
