1 OK I am a virologist cue boos and heckles. But the headlines on human metapneumovirus are ridiculous scare mongering. Every baby up to the age of 5 catches hpmv in every country including UK and USA. It's transmitted during winter months. It gives cold like symptoms with a cough.

As an NHS family we have just had our delayed Christmas day with exchanged presents and a belated turkey. Daughter just came up after a week of nights in ent /A&E a very harrowing few nights but she made it through. It was very enjoyable and she's still awake just
