Edge is an independent foundation working to inspire education to give all young people across the UK the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to flourish in their future life and work.
Great question from @baggyshanker.bsky.social on supporting more SMEs to take on apprentices. SMEs make up 60% of UK employment but employ just 37% of apprentices. We've been calling on Government to fix this this through our #ApprenticeshipsWork campaign.

Excellent question from @antoniabance.bsky.social to the Small Business Minister at Tuesday’s Business and Trade Committee meeting on support for SMEs interested in hiring apprentices. The Minister agrees that the process is too “cumbersome”, but understands that the DWP is looking to simplify it.
