This should be happening in every Republican district where the elected representative is choosing to hide. Get out there and listen to the voters and offer then your message directly unfiltered by the conservative media many of these people listen to.
Great local coverage from WFMJ on Tim Walz's huge event in Republican Congressman Mike Rulli's district in Youngstown Ohio last night:

One of the lowest points of US history was the internment of Japanese in America.
BREAKING: Trump Invokes 1798 Wartime Law that Paved the Way for Japanese Internment.

The repugnant law, known as the Alien Enemies Act, will allow Trump to detain and deport noncitizens without due process, writes Zeteo’s new legal contributor @kimwehle.bsky.social, professor of constitutional law:

Is this that politicizing of the DOJ that Republicans kept talking about?
Trump: "We have a lot of law firms that we're going to be going after, because they were very dishonest people. They were very, very dishonest. We have a lot of law firms that we're going after."

So the press will continue to be cowards to maintain their access.
Consider the possibility that the Trump White House WANTS this fight. Wants journalists to act like opponents instead of observers. If the entire press pool skipped a Trump photo op in solidarity with The AP, wouldn't the White House welcome Breitbart and One America News to take their places?
And, are you or your colleagues boycotting covering the WH as a protest?

Respectfully (and I genuinely mean this), I’ve never heard a single regular person ask for “bipartisanship.” That’s inside nonsense.

They want things to work.

If the other party refuses to work for people, be the ones who will. Fight for people. Make it plain who isn’t, and who THEY’RE for.
It is time to look to the future.

The challenges that face America are many and great.

The Senate must respond with resolve, bipartisanship, and fidelity to the working and middle class of this country.

Chart of the night.

In 1952, there were nearly 58,000 cases of paralytic polio in the US.

In 2023, there were 0.

As @meganranney.bsky.social said on CNN tonight, revoking the polio vaccine would result in generations of kids experiencing disability and death.

So a reminder:

It’s not ‘liberals’ saying Hegseth abuses women. It’s his mom.

It’s not ‘liberals’ comparing Trump to Hitler. It’s his vice-president.

It’s not ‘liberals’ calling Musk a liar and a racist. It’s his own child.

For the record.
