I just got the best comic I have read in forever! It's called Witch Hazel and it came with a sticker sheet and puzzels! It's like they bottled the most joyful parts of what it was like to be queer in your late teens/early 20s and added fun witchy fantasy stuff. 100% would recommend!!

Been doing some ttrpg with friends, and it's like a 3-in-1 because I get social needs met, I get fantasy, roleplay and whimsy, and it also gives me time where I'm just sitting down listening to people and it's just the right amount of stimuli to draw, plus free inspiration!

Nothing makes me roll my eyes like the "doing art is hard, art is suffering" discourse. Same thing with the "sketchbook" trend, which is just people showing off their carefully curated, fully rendered pieces. People are so desperate to moralize the process of creating sometimes.

Been feeling really artistically unmotivated lately, and even moreso musically. Sometimes it feels like trying to work when I'm not feeling *specifically* inspired about a piece is like nails on a chalkboard :(

One of the first digital pieces I made in 2021! Still my favorite character design of all time. This thing was such a pain in the ass, took 40+ hours (bc inexperience) and bluescreened my PC five times 😭 There's supposed to be a red light in the back too, but my PC couldn't handle the extra layer 😩

Both of these drawings were done only a year apart, still equally creepy though. I've been thinking about getting connected to another online art community, specifically, one that is trans-friendly, uplifting, 18+, and not super focused on intense critique. Leave a comment if you know a place!☆
