Just had someone tell me to “eff off” on FB & that I shouldn’t comment on Erasmus as my surname isn’t British. Being British isn’t about a name it’s about citizenship, identity, and having a voice. To assume someone isn’t British based solely on their surname is discriminatory and frankly racist.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Having experienced the horrors of war, I genuinely don't think that the UK will be invaded by Russia. There is no need to invade these shores, what would they achieve, they don't need russian boots on the ground. Hybrid/cyber war is much more useful to them to destabilise us.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Year after Brexit a local County Cllr (Cons) jokingly asked me why I am still here and why I haven't been kicked out of the UK? Told him I have been a British citizen since 2000, he said don't worry we'll take that away from you. He's recently defected to Reform Ltd.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Facebook users are already expressing dissatisfaction with immigrants being housed in military barracks. Many continue to argue that they shouldn’t be in the UK at all, and some comments falsely claim that UK military personnel will be relocated to accommodate the immigrants.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Unfortunately, Labour has missed their chance to mention the Brexit financial losses. This should have been done immediately but they forgot to include the Brexit.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social I had a UK ID card issued in 2010 along with my UK passport it was a choice for extra £20. I used it twice to travel to Germany and back. Then the Tories got elected and scrapped them within 3 months of winning the 2010 election. In Bosnia it's the norm to have one from 18y.
