not only do we have a calculator with us at all times (contrary to what our teachers said) it's actually becoming a problem to carry so much tech.

no matter how awful my day seems, at least i get to have meals. just get through the next 3 hours and then i can eat somethin yummy.

my desire to gather wealth and resources isn't rotted in rugged individualism, it's from knowing that my country will completely abandon me to the elements if i don't hoard enough to get through hard times. i would much rather build a community than a 401k.

the thing about chatbots is that AI just stands for Artificial Internet-rando.
if you ask for advice on reddit and some random internet person tells you to put glue on your pizza, you should really question that advice. same goes for what the chatbot suggests.

i get discouraged because the only way on this planet to leave an indelible mark is to create value beyond yourself, and that feels overwhelming.
money can be spent. property can be broken. even memories can be stolen through disease.

the thing is we treat society like dinner. some cultures have a shared pot everyone eats from. some cultures welcome sampling each other's plate.
then there's the western way where we only eat from our own plate and act like sharing would spread disease.

one of the most wonderful things about social media is that i thought i was weird.

throughout my childhood people told me i was mature for my age, and i thought it was because i was raised mostly around adults, but actually more specifically i was not neurotypical and neither were any of the people i was raised around.

i realize that the reason i worry about what others think isn't because i have an ego weakness but because i was socialized female and expected to take responsibility for everyone's emotions in social situations

my brain has been foggy lately and i realize that whenever i'm idle, i doomscroll. in the time before mobile browsers i used that time to process experiences. now they just get stored unproccessed.

i just learned that "snug" is a British word for a private room at a pub.
i think the reason British English has so many cute words that aren't in American English is because we just borrow a word from another language, whereas the British own it and just twist an existing word to fit.
