Outside of work, I like to:

- Drink copious amounts of tea🍵

- Make biscuits with my hypoallergenic cats🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛
- Appease my perpetually angry pet parrot🦜
- Sew
- Belly dance💃

After defending in July 2022, I moved to #Colorado for more sun and mountains in my life🌄

I recovered for several months and then job searched for ~half a year before becoming a #Covid19 data analyst with the CO Dept of Public Health and Environment.

I started #PMF in Nov 2023, and now here I am!

I got my BS in #microbiology and Spanish from the University of Michigan and studied freshwater microbes.

Then I went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I got a Microbiology PhD with @uwmadisonmdtp.bsky.social and a PhD minor in #SciComm with @uw-lsc.bsky.social.

As part of the #PMF program, I'm doing a 6 month rotation outside of my home office. I'm helping to enhancing resilience of the health, food, and agriculture sectors with the U.S. Dept of Homeland Security, Office of Health Security💪
