it should be a tell about what's happening in the media now that most mainstream commentators seem openly frustrated that polling does not blame democrats for the shutdown

How about we all get Stephen Miller masks and shout You must obey my authoritah; holding signs like like I'm very hardcore; I'm a sexual matador; and other Miller cosplay gibberish.

AUSAs Nathaniel Lemons and Gabriel Diaz should remember their oaths of office, their professional responsibilities, their good names, and the future knowledge of their children and grandchildren, and then, morally fortified, they should reconsider/refuse/resign from DOJ.

Lindsey Halligan has company on the Comey docket:

Ahead of tomorrow’s arraignment, Nathaniel Lemons and Gabriel Diaz file notices of appearance on behalf of the United States.

I wonder if the authors have any idea of how infuriating they are to people being hammered. These writers won't even say this lawless administration has created a "constitutional crisis".

This video of Chicagoans intervening to save a man from being abducted off the streets by ICE is making the rounds on Instagram.

Community action works.

Human beings are not “collateral.”
They are friends, children, husbands, wives, colleagues, neighbors.

This kind of thinking is killing empathy in America.

ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.

Welker: Oh. OK. Next "question".

So what should they do? Kiss Trump's ass? Beg John Thune to be reasonable? Demand Mike Johnson behave like a responsible adult?
