TX Tech has a flow chat for guidance on what can be taught in the university system. Two things:
1. Very little content seems to be permitted. This is partisan control of the curriculum.
2. I would not enjoy teaching under these conditions, but I really would not want to be a Chair or Dean.

The cast crossbow brooch below was found in Ozengell on the Isle of Thanet, c. 6 - 7th century AD.

The University of Oklahoma takes seriously concerns involving First Amendment rights, certainly including religious freedoms. Upon receiving notice from the student on the grading of an assignment, the University immediately began a full review of the situation and has acted swiftly to address the matter. First, the college acted immediately to address the academic issue raised by the student. College leaders contacted her on the day her letter was received and have maintained regular communication throughout the process. As previously stated, a formal grade appeals process was conducted. The process resulted in steps to ensure no academic harm to the student from the graded assignments. Second, the student reported filing a claim of illegal discrimination based on religious beliefs to the appropriate university office. OU has a clear process for reviewing such claims and it has been activated. The graduate student instructor has been placed on administrative leave pending the finalization of this process. To ensure fairness in the process, a full-time professor is serving as the course instructor for the remainder of the semester. OU remains firmly committed to fairness, respect and protecting every student's right to express sincerely held religious beliefs. The UNIVERSITY of OKLAHOMA

The Royal Belgian Society for Numismatics (KBGN) is pleased to announce the next edition of its quadrennial Numismatic Prize, awarded since 1981. This prize rewards an original scholarly work in the field of numismatics. TARGET GROUP The prize is open to candidates who are no more than 35 years old at the time of submission. It is intended for young researchers contributing significantly to numismatic research. CONDITIONS • The submitted work must be original and unpublished. • The subject must clearly fall within the field of numismatics or sigillography. • The dissertation must be at least 75 pages long. • The work may be written in Dutch, French, German, English, Italian, or Spanish. SUBMISSION Submissions must be received by 31 May 2026. The manuscript must be submitted as a fully completed PDF - including all images, tables, appendices, and full bibliography. Each submission must also include a short summary of the work and a curriculum vitae of the author. All documents must be sent digitally to Pierre Petit (Pierre.Petit@ulb.be) and Fran Stroobants (fran.stroobants@kbr.be), with subject line « Submission - Numismatic Prize 2026». An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent after submission. EVALUATION & AWARD CEREMONY Evaluation is carried out by a jury composed of the members of the Editorial Board of the Belgian Journal of Numismatics and Sigillography, possibly supplemented by experts in the field. The prize will be awarded during the General Assembly in October 2026. The laureate receives a monetary prize of €2.000 and official recognition by the Society.
