Once they slim down and realize their target number of employees can't keep up with the workload, then what's the plan? Hire contractors at twice the cost while being able to say that they cut the workforce down because contractors don't impact the employee numbers? Sounds about right...

Weren't they accusing the Biden administration of weaponizing the DOJ? That's effectively what this directive will do.

Important qualification - Trump isn't TRYING to stop Musk. Elon is doing EXACTLY what he wants to do, and his power & financial contribution is allowing the Chi Toe to look the other way without a single glance.
