It is fucking today that I learn you can punch the balls when the final boss of DK Bananza uses his ball attack
I think to this day the angriest I've ever been on stream was during the final boss of that game, and I wonder how much easier it would've been if I knew that.

I take back what I said about DK Bananza's music a little bit ago. I still stand by the idea that the levels themselves don't have very memorable music tracks, but the Bananza tracks and some other songs in the game make up for it. They're very very good.

Fuck it. I don't really care too much about the AI placeholder thing in Expedition 33 anymore. Like it sucks, but none of the final game itself uses AI after the one texture was patched. If there's one game to rally against for using AI that won in The Game Awards last night, it's Arc Raiders.

This is my second year watching the Game Awards. I feel quite mixed. I think the ads were less of a slog than last year, but last year I really liked and played most of the games that were nominated, and Astro Bot was an awesome win. This year was kind of a hopeless vibe as Expedition 33 sweeped.
