Key word “technically”. Utah’s goal diff is -13 to San Diego’s +2. The chance of 1) Utah winning all of their last 3 games, 2) San Diego losing all of their last 3 games & 3) Utah making up the G.D. gap of 15 is <1%. A big Utah win vs SD next week would help.

Next week, 8th place’s pts will increase by no more than 1 because Seattle (7th) & Louisville (8th) play each other. This means that Houston (9th) &/or one of Angel City (10th)/ North Carolina Courage (11th) can stay in touch of the playoffs with a win. The Courage in particular need to win.
