I think they did attempt to care when the rumor was that it was his direct report, mostly in order to cover their own asses. I believe that their investigation couldn't turn up any 'hard' evidence, but was probably just a lot of people telling em "yep, they fuckin". Felt like they couldn't prove it

I 100% do not believe the OSU angle; Sherrone being a man about town appears to have been an open secret that everyone (except myself I guess) knew, and that aspect was willing to be overlooked by the AD assuming it was just random women
