Exactly, it's a fantasy serial - the narrator tells us right at the start that it happened a long, long time ago! It's probably exaggerated from very many angles here

Yup! My initial hospital stay was pretty wacky because I was on a huge dose and not used to it yet - there was a lot of anxiety and some anger seeping through lol

It only lasted a couple days though, I halved the dose and I've been feeling fine on it ever since - I wouldn't hesitate to try it

That's the fun thing, you can safely have a huge amount and just get a combination of sleepiness and rage as a result LMAO

I'm on anti-seizure meds, and the scientific consensus for how they work is "idk lmfao"

I will always be the boomer who swears that the OpenAI playground was often more useful
November 30, 2025 at 7:49 PM
Seriously though, the way they worded that as if it's supposed to inherently cancel you like you committed some disgusting act pisses me off on an impressive amount of levels

We've gone back to before Martin Luther's time, it's now considered an own to call someone educated and interested in technology

The funny thing is that human minds already do essentially the same kind of thing, if you're willing to dive into your own thought process as a creator! Like, when you're inspired by anything else (as is mandatory for art), your brain is literally trying to replicate small series of patterns

If we had a serious left, we'd already be several years into arguing for massive UBI programs everywhere, but instead most people are just watching the ship sink without thinking of casting out any lifeboats, let alone working towards giving us all the luxury of less work and more money

I don't mean to make myself sound like a saint, but I was genuinely stunned the day I learned that "jealousy" is supposed to imply an incredible amount of anger for most people - like, do most of you not just feel a little envious and *not* blame others for it??
November 30, 2025 at 2:01 PM
It's also a completely incoherent argument, because they're implying that 100% of people using the technology are doing it for bad things, so apparently they do actually hate cameras

Contrast is dead, but studios like it anyway because it makes everything soooo much easier

Plus, even lighting is supposedly quite a bit easier to work CGI into
November 30, 2025 at 1:52 PM
I'm not sure exactly how true it is, but I saw a video essay describing how the flat gray lighting you get now is a cheap convenience - basically, image sensors are more sensitive than ever with incredible HDR, so you can save time/money by lighting everything evenly and it'll still come out visible

I feel like streaming scratches the parasocial itch in peoples' brains more than anything - like, the hugest ones in particular are just the Gen Z version of watching TMZ or Keeping Up With The Kardashians all day

Has a storm ever reached it, and then been torn to shreds by the lack of rotation there?

Nobody even bothered to check her platform, they saw a chance to sit back and have fun watching Trump destroy the country while (in their minds) scorning a black woman, and they were delighted to take it

Better Call Saul went on twice as long as it needed to, they'll find a way lol

Being able to turn off QTs on individual posts is also an amazing feature, I use it to inoculate all my spiciest takes from that side of Bluesky

The second half of the sentence was said more gently, she's asking if he can feel her cool new therian vibes yet
November 28, 2025 at 6:33 PM
That's why I believe that starting at the schools and liberating kids is one of the best places to start - you'll have an increasingly intellectual and educated population, and authoritarianism will struggle significantly more against that
November 28, 2025 at 6:31 PM
I think enough people like us will eventually be around to stop that - you'll have reforms to public education and maybe some new laws around mass media, and after a generation or two things should seriously change for the better for a long, long time
